A warm welcome to Seahorse Class from Mr Thornton, Mrs Suleyman and Mrs Whalen.
Our curriculum
As your child continues through year 2, there will be a continued focus on phonics and developing their skills in writing and maths – exploring new concepts, developing their writing stamina and ensuring they have opportunities to work with more independence.

P.E. days
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please send your children to school wearing their PE clothes on these two days.

Upcoming events
We continue to try and be as open, supportive and welcoming to parents and carers as possible. As part of this ethos, we hold numerous events for parents and carers throughout the school year but you may wish to note these key dates:
Monday 23rd February - Children return to school
Thursday 26th February - Donate Day
Monday 2nd March - The start of ‘Readathon’ (4 weeks)
Thursday 5th March - World Book Day
Friday 6th March - 8:55am to 9:25am, EYFS, Year 1 & Year 2 reading with parents and carers
Monday 9th March - The start of science week
Wednesday 11th March - Careers Day: BACA visiting Reception to Year 5
Friday 13th March - Science Fair (Parents and carers are invited to join at 2:30pm)
Tuesday 17th March - Parent consultations
Wednesday 18th March - 4:00pm to 4:30pm, Parents of children in KS1 drama club are invited to watch
Thursday 26th March - Parent consultations
Friday 27th March - Last day of term
Monday 13th April - Children return to school
Friday 17th April - 8:55am to 9:25am, EYFS, Year 1 & Year 2 reading with parents and carers
