A warm welcome to Seahorse Class from Mr Thornton, Mrs Suleyman and Mrs Whalen.
Our curriculum
As your child continues through year 2, there will be a continued focus on phonics and developing their skills in writing and maths – exploring new concepts, developing their writing stamina and ensuring they have opportunities to work with more independence.

P.E. days
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. Please send your children to school wearing their PE clothes on these two days.

Upcoming events
We continue to try and be as open, supportive and welcoming to parents and carers as possible. As part of this ethos, we hold numerous events for parents and carers throughout the school year but you may wish to note these key dates:
Wednesday 11th June – Phonics screening for year 1 and some children in 2
Wednesday 18th June – Infant sports day
Tuesday 24th June – Parents and carers are invited to see OPAL play and meet our play lead
Friday 4th July – Reception, year 1 and year 2 parents and carers are invited to come into your child’s class to read with your child
Wednesday 9th July – Parents and carers are invited to our annual dance festival
Monday 14th July – School reports sent home
Friday 18th July – Last day of school
Planned trips
Seahorse Class will be going to Stanmer Park on Tuesday 6th May.
