P.E. days
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Please send your children to school wearing their PE clothes on these two days.
Upcoming events
We continue to try and be as open, supportive and welcoming to parents and carers as possible. As part of this ethos, we hold numerous events for parents and carers throughout the school year but you may wish to note these ones:
8:55am to 9:25am on the first Friday of the month (Friday 6th October, Friday 3rd November and Friday 1st December) – Reception, year 1 and year 2 parents and carers are invited to come into your child’s class to read with your child.
8:55am to 9:45am on Friday 15th September – Year 1 to year 6 parents and carers are invited to come into school to learn how we teach reading.
3:15pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday 11th October - Year 1 to year 6 parents and carers are invited to come into your child’s class to see what the children have been learning about, meet the teacher and to find out more about the autumn curriculum and enrichment activities. It will be a great opportunity to celebrate the children’s learning so far.
8:55am to 9:45am on Thursday 19th October – All parents and carers are invited to come into school to learn about how we teach PE. This will include you having the opportunity to see a PE class in action.
Planned trips
All our children will be visiting our local libraries. This is a fabulous opportunity to continue to nurture our children’s interest in the world around them and introduce them to a space where books enrich their knowledge. They will also learn more about their local community and work alongside librarians who can share the myriad of exciting activities that our libraries have to offer.
We also have a trip booked to the seafront and Booth Museum, which are always popular with the children.
- 11th October - Moulsecoomb Library
- 18th October - Booth Museum for history
- 22nd November - Seafront trip for geography
