Parents and carers looking to start in september 2027
If you are looking for a school place in Reception for September 2027, please call our office manager, Lumina Friedl, on 01273 077130 or email admin@coomberoad.brighton-hove.sch.uk to arrange to come and meet us.
Starting school is an exciting time but can also be quite daunting, and we want to do as much as we can to make the transition to ‘big school’ as stress free as possible. To help with this, we have a timeline of events which we would love you to be part of.
Individual tours (with the offer to stay and join a lesson)
We are a small, inclusive primary school with a family feel, so we welcome showing you and your child round and answering your questions. In most cases, we can arrange to spend some time seeing the learning in Reception class too.
Monthly group tours
We know that you may like to visit with other parents and carers, possibly from the nursery where your child currently attends. As a result, we have organised three dates when you can visit and learn about Coombe Road Primary School as a group:
- 1:00pm, Monday 5th October 2026
- 9:15am, Friday 13th November 2026
- 5:00pm, Thursday 3rd December 2026
Stay-and-play information sessions
We really enjoy holding stay-and-play sessions, where you and your child can come and experience our lovely Reception class when the school is closed to others. In the hope that you will be able to come, we have two planned in the evening and one on a Saturday morning:
- 5:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday 8th October 2026
- 10:30am to 11:30am, Saturday 7th November 2026
- 5:00pm to 6:00pm, Tuesday 8th December 2026
We feel it is important that the children get an opportunity to meet the key adults in the school and fellow classmates, and for you to find out how things work at Coombe Road Primary School, so hopefully these events will help you and your family.
